If Croydon does all the things it claims it will do in the LBoC update, then it could still produce a memorable and worthwhile year of culture. You mention training for applying for bids and fundraising that will take place at Culture Hubs but you don't say which are the culture hubs. Is Mathews Yard for example one of them? We would like to help Croydon to celebrate its varied exciting cultures, and will be interested to see what scope there is for volunteering. If you need a template Lewisham's volunteering scheme last year seemed to work very well. We are a new organization that is keen to promote Croydon culture in all its many forms and to assist in getting cultural projects off the ground. We will be having a Christmas Party on the 9th of December at 1pm in the Cocktail Lounge of Mathews Yard (ie the upstairs bit) and would be pleased to see any members of the steering groups or Council that are able to attend.

Younger Generation Theatre Group are a registered charity that have been giving young people in Croydon aged between 9 and 18 a chance to perform on stage in a professional Theatre (either Ashcroft Theatre or Harlequin at Redhill while Ashcroft was closed) for over 30 years. We are really struggling to get new cast since covid, but are wanting to attract some new members to rehearse a new show from March 2023 to perform at Ashcroft in August 2023.
