High Street and Old Town Walking and Cycling Project.

High Street and Old Town Walking and Cycling Project.

  • As part of our improvements to High Street, Croydon, we are making additional changes from the permanent scheme to improve access for local businesses and residents, as part of active listening and engagement with the local community.

    Changes include:

    • Reinstating the loading and parking bays on St George's Walk that were planned to be relocated to Park Street
    • Move the planned bus stands to Park Street

From 03 April, the loading bays and bus stands will be installed and operational as part of an Experimental Traffic Management Order (ETMO).

Under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, we are notifying you that the six-month statutory objection period for the St George's Walk loading and parking bay ETMO will start on 10 April 2023.

If you have any comments, suggestions or objections on this change, please take part in our survey below. The survey launches on 03 April and will close at 23:59 hours on 10 October 2023.
